It appears the weather in Kearney will be quite cold.
I hate being cold.
Once I get chilled it takes me a long time to warm up.
My hands are especially difficult to keep warm.
When my hands get cold, my fingers go numb, and the touch screen on my phone won't even sense my touch.

But my heart is warm knowing I will soon get to see my daughter and her family!
So today I need to finish cleaning house, drag out the suitcase, find my big heavy coat, grab a  scarf or two, a pair of gloves, and a hat so I can be ready.

Because nothing will keep me away from you!

A year and a half ago, I found myself driving to Nebraska after my daughter had her second baby.  It is so hard to not be there when your child has her child.  I had to go! I wanted to help in whatever way I could.  On the drive I heard the song "1500 miles".  That is about how far it is from Salem to Kearney.  So it comes to mind each time I head to Nebraska to see my daughter.

I have so much to do,
It doesn’t mean a thing,
But just the thought of you,
Is enough to make me sing.

Nothing can keep me away from you,
As long as I’m alive.
I would lay my life down,
To be there by your side.

Nothing can keep me away from you,
No distance is too grand,
I would travel the ocean,
To be there to hold your hand.

1500 miles is not too far to go,
Just to make you smile,
Just to let you know,

Nothing can keep me away from you,
As long as I’m alive.
I would lay my life down,
To be there by your side.

Nothing can keep me away from you,
No distance is too grand,
I would travel the ocean,
To be there to hold your hand.

And there isn’t anything,
In the whole world I can bring,
Any feeling close to being close to you

Nothing can keep me away from you,
As long as I’m alive.
I would lay my life down,
To be there by your side.

Nothing can keep me away from you,
No distance is too grand,
I would travel the ocean,
To be there to hold your hand.

I agree with everything you've written, especially the 1500 miles lyrics. But, they apply to you for me as well!
I love you!
