Snowfall in West Salem

Our house sites up on a hill at nearly 500 ft above sea level.
Often times this is just high enough for us to get
amazingly huge gentle snow flakes.
Today was one of those days.

This is our first snow fall of the season.
Snow isn't common in our area in spite of the large amount
of 6-8 inches we received last year during the Christmas break.
The weather indicated it would be 40 degrees today.
Someone was wrong.

I was glad to be home where I could grab my camera
and head outside and get some shots before the snow went away.

I am thankful for the beautiful snow and for how it melts away easily.
And I am thankful to have something to blog about
other than what is rolling around in my head.

Perhaps tomorrow....
