156 months

We have delighted in Laura Jayne for the past 156 months.
Today she enters her teen years as we celebrate her 13th birthday.

Growing up in a loud and boisterous home with 7 siblings isn't easy, just ask Melissa, Brad, Aimee, Lindsey, Alex, Caroline, or Jacquie.

I imagine the older siblings would say being the youngest is the easiest place to fall in the birth order.

I don't think Laura agrees with her older siblings,
but what I do know is that she has kept us all laughing through the years.
As she enters her teen years she has experienced
4 of her siblings leave home,
2 siblings get married,
2 brother-in-laws and
2 nephews come into our family.
She has lived through too many room changes to count, and always been the low man on the totem pole.
She has lived with hand-me-downs for so long she thinks shopping at Goodwill and TJ Maxx are like shopping Rodeo drive.

Laura Jayne is a peacemaker at heart.
Perhaps not with her sister Jacquie, but with most everyone else.

Her interests and passions range far and wide from Anime, to Art, Japanese Culture, to Soccer.

I truly look forward to this daughter of mine entering her teen years.

I delight in my children as teenagers.

Its a period in their lives that doesn't scare me.

and this one,

my last one,

I will delight in as well.

Happy Birthday Girl of mine!
