I stumbled upon this quote by Marion Woodman some weeks ago and I continue to be drawn back to it.
What pulls at me most is the thought of being able to see the other with the unclouded eye of the heart; no fear, no neediness, no jealousy, no possessiveness, no manipulation.... just love.
When you love someone for who they are then there should be rejoicing when you see with the eye of the heart.
It should be easy.
Its a 'no-brainer'.
Love simply exists in the moment.
How else would one love the other?
Sometimes love comes like this.
And sometimes it doesn't.
After all, we are human.
We do have fears.
We experience need.
We feel jealous.
We misunderstand and misinterpret.
And often times we try to control through manipulation and possessiveness.
But even when we don't love perfectly, we still love.
"- Soul meeting soul, the body awakened with Joy.
...Loving unconditionally... in the moment-to-moment flux of life"
That is my wish for 'other' this Valentine's Day.
"This is the point where love becomes possible. We see the other with the eye of the heart, an eye not clouded by fear manifesting as need, jealousy, possessiveness, or manipulation. With the unclouded eye of the heart, we can see the other as other. We can rejoice in the other, challenge the other, and embrace the other without losing our own center or taking anything away from the other. We are always other to each other — soul meeting soul, the body awakened with joy. To love unconditionally requires no contracts, bargains, or agreements. Love exists in the moment-to-moment flux of life." -
