My first Amtrak trip

I am heading to Portland for the afternoon to sample some new brews before my volunteer shift this evening at the 23rd annual Oregon Brew Fest.
I've never traveled by train,
At least not on Amtrak.
I've been on subways, max trains, muni trains, and the 'el' in Chi town.
But those feel different some how.
I am enjoying this time by myself after several weeks of activity, travel and time with friends and family.
This gives me some brief time for reflection.
