Hiking Mt. Hood

I have lived in Oregon for just over 4 years now and until today had not been up to Mt. Hood.
It did not disappoint me!

We hiked a portion of the Pacific Crest trail starting at the Timberline lodge.

The blue sky was dotted with puffy white clouds anchored by the pines and remaining scattered snow melt.
It made for great scenery to photograph.

Torpey, Jeff, and Laura were fairly patient with me' as I worked to find the best angle on the pictures I wanted.
It was a great hike!

We finished off our day at Tad's Chicken and Dumplings along the Sandy River.
(They make just about the best Long Island Ice Tea I've had the pleasure of drinking.)
And,
Even my picky eater, Laura, loved the food.
Tonight, I look forward to a relaxing evening on the deck with a bit of Green Label.
Its the best way I can think of to prepare for a trip to the coast tomorrow.

It's all good!
