One of my Summer time Rites of Passage around here is the repairing of the fish.
My fish were a gift from my sister.
She always picks the best gifts!
They hang from my front porch year round.
They are eclectic, fun and make me smile.
They are a little bit worn and faded from the winter wind and wet weather. I suppose I should bring them in through the winter months, but I like to see them hanging up and blowing in the wind.
I have to restring them each year and sometimes I even find an escaped fish in the garden as I do my spring cleaning as was the case again this year.
I am a bit behind my spring cleaning and planting this year since it has been one of the coldest and most wet springs on record for this area.
But this weekend the clouds gave way for a big, bright, and wonderfully warm sun.
And the fish got restrung and rehung just in time for Flag Day!
They are ready for another summer and so am I!
TWO THOUGHTS ON WISDOM.

Mine need a bath, too! But they were inside the porch enclosure this winter, so no restringing necessary this time around. I do have to repair the glass garden ornament, however. Maybe I'll do that Wednesday when it's raining... supposedly, anyway.
